Brow Talk
Eye Brows- These guys are bigger and better these days- kind of Brooke Sheilds with a little more clean-up.
If you have over plucked(like the most of us) there are amazing hair re-grow products that can re-stimulate your brow hair root and get them to grow back!
My suggestion is Li’Brow & my favorite Eyebrow color and fill is Benefit’s Brow Zing!
You’ll have to endure an awkward grow out period but, tuff through. It’s great to check out and meet with a brow specialist to help guide you through this process.
There are three check points while you are re-shaping your brow(See picture map)
1.Inner Brow- Your brow should start lined up from just the center part of the nostril. To best line this up take your brow pencil or a handle of a shadow/brow brush and use as your guide. Place one end over your center nostril and place along your face straight up to your brow and line this up.This is where your inner brow should start.
2. Your Arch- Your arch should bend just off to the left or right side of your pupil depending on which brow you are working on(the left to the left and right to the right). To line this up, use the same guide you used for the inner brow line-up, anchor the end on the corner of your nostril and while looking straight into the mirror angle the brush just over your pupil up to your brow. This angle will give you a sense to where your arch should be.
3.The Tail- This guy can tend to get over plucked- the Tail of your brow should end at the corner of your eye. To line this up place your guide from the corner of your nostril to the outer corner of your eye to your brow.
Now get growing and re-shaping:)

ROOT SPORTS———————-
Along with all the Beauty stuff I work on I also have the very fun task of making sure my favorite Sports anchors look there very best!! This Last week I was in AZ at spring training. Besides having full access to the Stadium It was 89degrees!! YES!! I love the challenge of weather and make-up. My Tip is use Makeup Forever Mist and Mix in any extreme weather situation. This product will seal your make-up on so no make-up beading!

Surround yourself with things that inspire You!
I Love this Bag by Ted Baker. It inspired me to dream up this Ad for it. This is what I do for a living so it fits the need. The color is so punchy and it makes me feel happy everytime I peek over at it. This is a reminder for you. Your muse can come from anything!

Lipstick
This lil guy makes a women transform into Sexy,Playful,Sweet,Glamorous,Exotic, and Fun! My first experience was in 1983 when I got my first Bonne Bell Lip Smacker. I held on to this so tight I melted it! When I started out as a cosmetics retail gal the Lipstick Bar was the place for me. I love watching a woman put on the “Just Right” color that evoked the feeling/pick me up she was hoping for. They couldn’t buy it fast enough!
Here are a few tips to help you find your color and feeling your looking for:
1. Are you looking for a day wear or an evening wear color? Sometimes your shade can work for both with a lighter application during the day and heaver at night.
2. What time of year is it? Try wearing berries and grape colors in the Winter and more pinks and melons in the Summer.
3.Teeth, What shade are yours? If they are on the whiter side you can get away with wearing warm tones such as orange-y taupe’s or reds However, if your teeth are a little dull a warm toned lip color could make then look more so. (tip: I love Crest Whitening strips!) Wear a blue or cool tone color to whiten up your smile!
4. Be match-y with your outfit. I know this was once a blase’ thing to do but, It’s Back and better then ever! find a color tone in your outfit and match it! Make-up can be an accessories just as much as earrings and shoes!

Shake this Year off!! Thank you 2011 and Good Night!
This was a big year for me. Mainly because I found my voice and balance. 15years of working in the Beauty industry has been amazingly..well.. Beautiful. Vanity, being one of the 7 deadly sins has been flowing through my veins since birth. I can only tell you that this path chose me. I have this innate skill for taking a body and detailing it to balance light, depth and help inner personality shine through. This said.. Now YOU have to shake shake shake It off. “IT” is whatever is making you feel down on yourself. “IT” is the thing that is stopping you from shining. This said…. Here are a few products that can Vainly help you shine!!****
1.Glamour Mask- Use this lil guy before a big evening out! You’ll glow after the best exfoliation and the tingle that gets your circulation glowing!
2.Trish McEvoy Blackberry Vanilla Sugar/salt oil scrub- Softly, moisturized and lightly scented skin will be the aftermath of this shower scrub!
3.Y.S.L- Golden gloss in #11, Gloss up with this shimmery light weight sparkle.
4.Chanel- Nail polish in Peridot- This color is the golden oil slick that will catch the glimmer in your eye every time you peek at them:)
5.Benefit-That Gal primer. Apply before any foundation and this product will add the “That girl is glowing” look you’ll love!

Pieces.. A Start on How to find your “look”
When I have a new client in my chair It takes a good 5 to 10 minutes to really get to the point on Why they are actually there to see me. I hear “I never learned how to do my make-up” or “My last cut was a flub” Sometimes they are headed off to something New or are set on pause in life and need a visual change to truly move forward. Whatever the case, I find that being the “hairapist” that I am I’ll try to protect my client and really test there “Right mind”
Who do You see yourself as? What do you want others to See you as? Give me three descriptive words that can help me find the right Hair style and Make-up for you. I usually go first- “On-trend”, “Bright with ease” ,and “Pretty” are my three. Yet, my three are laced with my everyday life that tends to have a fuzzy boundary.
I am married, have a five year old daughter in school, two cats and a house. I have three businesses and Yes the Friends and Family that is “all-up in each-others business”… The list can go on with food allergies, sick family members, the daily laundry, bills and “This house is a mess!” Might be my main statement when I come home. That Said..
My goal is still to achieve my top three descriptive words for my “look”. I can add to my “look” to up the Anti but, for my main image I choose make-up,hair-color,hairstyle,and clothing to suit my main goal of seeming like I have it together:)
So after the 5 to 10min chit chat I get to the nitty gritty. Sometimes- Bangs are just the change they needed or a few more highlights-a New lip color or a bump in the eye liner application. Whatever it is- the pieces Can be put together on the Beauty front as long as the puzzle piece fits. I have a few clients that are reaching for a style that is so outside of there comfort zone or skill that the look can’t keep up and eventually they just go back to what it was before “bleck!”. I say “Let’s try this before that- If you keep this up for 3 mths lets bump it up!” Style can be flexible as long as you have a great understanding of Why and How:-0
Before your next appointment, try to wrap your head around a few descriptive words that fit what your hoping to achieve.. bring some inspiration pictures if you have a hard time with words- This is your Start:)
